We are still early in the NBA season. It’s only day three of the season and there are two games tonight.
Many teams may implement different strategies and new player rotations. It may take a week or two to get a good handle on player minutes and rotations.
Nicolas Claxton (BKN) Under 8.0 Rebounds
As outlined in the NBA prop picks article today, this line is just too high and adjusted too much for an outlier performance.
Zion Williamson (NOP) Under 8.5 Rebounds
In his first game back he had 9 rebounds in the game. Outside of that, he has typically much much closer to 6.5 boards per game.
Especially in this matchup, Zion will likely be slowed down a bit getting rebounds. Especially facing a team like The Hornets and players like Mason Plumlee and PJ Washington.
Keldon Johnson (SAS) Under 21.5 Points
Despite scoreing 20 points in the first game of the season, I don’t have that much confidence in Keldon Johnson.
In the last two seasons, Johnson has averaged about 15 points per game. He is still playing his normal work load of about 30 minutes, so I don’t anticipate he’ll have too much 20 point games this season.
